AT ITX, our mission is to deliver technology that solves challenging problems so that our clients can move, touch, and inspire the world. Over the last 20 years, we have had the privilege of helping to inspire our team to design and develop software products that help shape the future of the digital landscape.
Why a podcast?
With 26% of people in the United States having listened to a podcast in the last month, according to Edison Research, the meteoric rise in popularity of podcasts is a clear indication that listeners are on a mission to gain knowledge and grow. In order to share our knowledge and experience in developing software products, we would like to introduce the Product Momentum Podcast – a podcast by ITX Corp.
We see this podcast as a way for ITX to share our best practices and thought leadership to help others bring about change in the world, namely by properly utilizing the formula for Product Momentum.
While there is a wealth of information available on our Website and blog about why and how we do what we do, it’s difficult to encompass all of what makes ITX successful in creating full life cycle software products in these formats. Podcasts offer the opportunity to share our knowledge in a conversational way that other platforms can’t accommodate. The long-form format of podcasts allows us to not only further break down topics and best practices that have proved successful for our clients but also to cultivate a deeper relationship with our listeners. By building personal connections with listeners, we hope to develop a relationship of trust through examination, insight, and storytelling.
This podcast will feature guests who are experts and leaders in their industries, who can expand the scope of information we can provide to listeners through our guests’ expertise and insights on the subjects we discuss.
We hope that this podcast will allow listeners to take full advantage of everything Product Momentum has to offer, with the goal of helping listeners deliver inspiring experiences and to effect change.
Why Momentum?
Organizational momentum follows Isaac Newton’s first law of motion, otherwise known as the law of inertia. The Momentum formula encompasses all elements of creating a successful software product, from how to develop, to how to release and implement them. There are all kinds of permutations of friction that slow down product development, stall Momentum, and just plain get in the way of delivering a product. Throughout this series, we will explore and dig deep into each element of how to create Product Momentum on a daily basis. Once things get rolling they’re hard to stop. You can create momentum in business by inspiring the people in your ecosystem, but it is equally important to reduce the sources of friction that stand in the way of your vision.
If you work with digital products long enough, you will see all kinds of permutations of friction slowing down product development, stalling momentum and just plain getting in the way of getting a product shipped. This podcast explores the various aspects of what it takes to build Momentum in software product development. So, if you have any kind of role that plays a part in building a software product, or are just interested in software in general, this is the podcast for you! Topics we will discuss include, but are not limited to:
- Having a product vision
- Building an effective roadmap
- Grooming your product backlog
- Building user personas that are actually useful
- Establishing Key Performance Indicators
- How to listen to your users and implement feedback
- Motivating your teams and your users
- Building brand advocates
The hosts of the show have been working in software development all their lives, specifically with an interest in what is actual innovation, and how do we accomplish that within software product development.
